Lakers floor general is a creator with a never-ending ability to score.Īlthough some would argue that Tony Parker is the most important player to the San Antonio Spurs, one could easily make the case for why Manu Ginobili deserves team MVP honors. He doesn't block shots, or rack up steals like Chris Paul and Rajon Rondo. You can perform post shimmy shots without using buttons for the right stick, floaters, eurostep layups, anything, you don't need to use the 'right stick buttons' at. They even made possible to pull dribble moves by pressing the backdown button + directional arrows. Nash is also a deadly accurate shooter, which makes him a favorite among those who prefer to bomb away from outside like yours truly.ĭefensively, you're not going to have a great time with Nash. During the game, you can do anything with the keyboard. His real-life flashy passes translate beautifully to NBA 2K13 and make controlling him more fun than running the offense with any other point guard in the game. The maestro of the hardwood, Steve Nash is a gamer's dream. He is phenomenal rebounder by default because of his height, but possesses a handle solid enough to turn into a one-man band. If you're someone who loves to go coast to coast with a rebound and look to score, Smith is your guy.

Not only can he light up the scoreboard with a variety of offensive skills, but you can use him to embarrass your opponent by throwing down a series of high-flying dunks.Īlthough the jams in NBA 2K13 are quite realistic, Smith is the one guy out there who will make them look like they were aided by a Hollywood special effects crew. I'm sure there are some technical difficulties tied to making this happen, but it would help the game a lot for me.Atlanta Hawks star Josh Smith is the ideal video game baller. I talk about it a bit in this video here: NBA 2K13 developer Mike Wang (aka Beluba) has provided some cheat sheets of the advanced controls in this year’s game, taken from the full version.

I was thinking his is how it would work: if you are holding the left stick forward as he catches the ball, that should indicate that you want him to catch on the move and blend into his dribble.but if you neutralize the left stick as he catches, that would make him catch and stop. anyway, maybe this ability is already in the game and i'm just not doing it right. The problem i'm having is that too often when i pass to a moving receiver, he stops moving to catch the ball, but i wanted him to smoothly keep moving as he starts to dribble in order to keep separation from the defender or to attack the hoop. Beluba, any chance we could get some improvement to some of the stopping catch animations? one thing i have wanted for a while now is the ability to control whether the receiver stops or keeps moving as he catches the ball.this would come in handy when passing to cutting players and you want the receiver to "catch in stride" and blend into his dribble without stopping.
